As a local and independent expression of this universal Church, we recognize the Lordship and headship of our Savior and Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ alone (Eph. 1:22-23). We believe in the priesthood of all believers (1 Pet. 2:5,9) and in the spiritual leadership of a plurality of male elders, appointed by The Holy Spirit and recognized by the Assembly (Acts 20:17,28; 1 Pet. 3:1-5). We meet on the first day of each week to remember our Lord and Savior at the Lords Supper.
The Scriptures teach that Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it (Eph. 5:25), that He is its foundation (Eph. 2:19-22) and its builder (Matt. 16:18). The Church is sanctified by His Spirit (1 Cor. 1:2) and will be presented to Him spotless at His return (Eph. 5:27). All who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, are instantly born again of the Holy Spirit and indwelt by the Holy Spirit and in whom they are then baptized with a view to the one Body of Christ, the Church (1 Cor. 12:12-14).
